Designers have the skills to discern a clients needs and give them access to a wider range of products and techniques that will elevate the whole project.We will outline your design before mistakes are made and advocate for you throughout the process ensuring the project. We hold the full vision along with its many details and share information with the production team to ensure it is seamless.  With a designer on board, you have someone to manage all the decisions and who knows precisely how each aspect of your project impacts each other.

How much does an interior designer charge?

KGM charges fees based on the scope of work. You will be informed from the start what you will invest in design fees for your home. You are then charged the RRP for all purchased items unless a discretionary discount is applied.

Can you buy your own alternative item instead of the one in the design plan?

KGM Interiors recommends that you follow the items in your design plan. Even a similar-looking piece can affect scale, finishes, and the overall scheme. If you want to source an alternative, send it to us first so we can review it before you buy.

Do you offer installation?

We do, the service we offer is from initial meeting to final installation and will be itemised in your invoice.

Question 9

How can we get an invoice?

Accepted Answer

We first send you a quote with the chosen pieces outlined you will be given an indication of production lead time, prices, quantity, VAT and shipping costs if applicable. Once approved and a minimum of 50% paid, we will issue an invoice and start production or dispatch the items if they are available in stock. The remaining balance is due in full on the day prior to installation or can be paid off in interim payments up until that day. Statements will be issued throughout the process.

What happens if I don't like the item I bought?

Many products are made to order, therefore those orders cannot be cancelled and our products cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are damaged or defective. Please contact us in writing as we can usually work something out. You can however return most purchased items, that are not bespoke, with a restocking and administrative fee applied.

What should I do if a piece is delivered in a damaged condition?

If it arrives damaged and you can refuse the product, then do. If you have taken it in, then send pictures immediately and make sure to mark down details of the damage on the driver's delivery bill.
If we ship your order to a storage facility, please make sure the receiver unpacks and checks it immediately upon reception. All claims for freight damage must be made within 72 hours of receipt. 
Once received, we will investigate and if the claim is successful, either repair or replace depending on the piece and its condition. You have a legal obligation to take good care of the product whilst it is in your possession. If you fail to comply with this obligation, we may have a right of action against you for compensation.

Is it possible to have a 3D visualisations?

Can I cancel or change my order before it is installed?

Changes in orders, returns or cancellations are sometimes possible, please email us as soon as you can to discuss.

Do you accept payments by credit card?

The preferred payment method is by wire transfer. I also accept all debit and credit card payments via Stripe.

How are your items taxed?

Everything is standard rated. If your delivery address is in the United Kingdom, you will be charged 20% VAT. There is a 20% charge on consultancy payable.If you are VAT-registered, please send us your VAT number so we can remove the VAT from your invoice.
For deliveries outside the European Union, you will not be charged VAT (unless your country of delivery is the same as the country of production).
Do note that items do not include customs and duties, if applicable. The purchaser is responsible for paying tax and customs duties in accordance with local regulations.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

The warranty guarantees that our products will be free from faults or defects in workmanship and materials for 2 years from installation The warranty only applies:to the person who purchased the products. It is not transferrable to any other person;to products used within the environment intended by their design, for example bathroom products used within a bathroom and not bathroom products used in, for example, a garage;to products used and installed in accordance with any guidelines provided by KGMThe warranty does not cover:damage caused or contributed to by poor, faulty or incorrect use, installation or maintenance;damage caused or contributed to by events outside our control including but not limited to Acts of God, fire, explosion, contact with corrosive matter, extreme weather conditions, flood, vandalism, soiling, misuse, abrasion, improper storage following delivery, rot and/or infestation following delivery, leaks (or similar incidents), damage due to non-domestic use;damage or colour deterioration caused or contributed to as a result of normal wear and tear. damage caused or contributed to by alterations or repairs other than those carried out by ourselves;damage caused or contributed to by the removal of the products following initial installation;damage caused or contributed to by wilful damage, abuse, mistreatment, negligence, abnormal storage or environmental conditions;damage caused or contributed to by household animals and misuse by children.To make a claim under your warranty you must inform KGM interiors in writing outlining the fault and enclosing any images to substantiate your claim Following the filing of a claim we will investigate the claim and if we believe there is a defect or fault covered by the warranty, we will at our option either repair the defective product (or part), replace the defective product (or part) or issue a refund for the products.If you do not allow the our representative to review the product which is subject to the warranty claim you will invalidate the warranty in respect of that claim.Any repaired or replacement product parts shall be guaranteed on the terms of this warranty for the unexpired portion of the warranty period only.This warranty is non-transferrable and is personal to the original purchaser as shown on the invoice.This warranty is subject to the jurisdiction under Scottish Law, and any dispute or claim arising out of, or in connection with it or its subject matter, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with it.

How long will it take to complete my order?

The unanswerable question... Usually 6-8 weeks for soft furnishings, up to 3 months for sofas and armchairs. Wallpaper and paint can be delivered within 10 days and most frequently faster.

Furniture : up to 12 weeks

Other items , like  bespoke cabinetry, painting and decorating etc   - I will try to outline in advance

Yes , you don't have to go the whole hog and have a whole house redesigned, you can contact me to help you navigate the myriad of available luxury wallpapers and fabrics, or you just want one cushion. I am happy to help you choose from the extensive range I have available and supply direct to you for your own DIY project. very often the samples I can supply are free as a wee bonus.I can also supply paint, blinds, furniture etc. if you have seen something and I can get if for a better price then just ask . This helps me as a small business, so I really do like to do work this way .
